Philosophy
Little Roots Preschool, is a private in-home faith based preschool designed to prepare children between the ages of two and a half years and five years of age for their entrance into Kindergarten. At Little Roots Preschool, we believe in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn through play and exploration. Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and valued. We are committed to fostering a sense of curiosity, creativity, and independence in our young learners. Our goal is to create a warm and inviting "home" atmosphere while nurturing a love for learning. We aim to prepare our young learners for a smooth transition to formal schooling while instilling a lifelong passion for exploration and discovery.
Curriculum
Cultivating a child’s natural joy and love in learning is of supreme importance, thus Little Roots promotes exploration, innovation and activities and learning opportunities that are pure, realistic, hands-on and authentically engaging for children. Little Roots will use the Reggio Emilia approach, which emphasizes the importance of children's self-expression, creativity, and exploration. For example, on any given day, your child may find themselves gardening, cooking, learning how to count in various languages, exploring nature, learning yoga, developing reading and math skills, or even taking a piano lesson, amongst many other things. Little Roots will also integrate Christian values and teachings into the curriculum. We will incorporate Bible stories and teachings where children come to know God, understand the love He has for them, and develop a personal relationship with Him while learning kindness and compassion for others.
